Bloomington, Ill. – Leading property and casualty consulting firm Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc. (Pinnacle), today announced that Joe Griffin has joined the organization as a senior consulting actuary.

“Pinnacle continues to add talent and expertise across all of our firm’s practice areas, including our predictive analytics team,” Managing Principal Roosevelt Mosley said. “Joe is an outstanding addition to our organization and will bring a broad range of data, telematics and connected car knowledge to our predictive analytics team.”

Griffin has more than 17 years of experience in data and analytics. He joins Pinnacle from electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian where he most recently served as principal actuary and collaborated with various teams engaged in connected car data, telematics features and vehicle operations. At Rivian, Griffin helped deploy an industry-leading embedded insurance offering. He brings practical knowledge in applying actuarial methods and telematics-based solutions tailored to client needs for end-to-end implementation success.

Griffin graduated from the University of California San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics, is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) and is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). He is located in San Diego.

Griffin has also worked for a large property and casualty consultancy, adding to his track record of leveraging data analytics and actuarial methods for business success.
